Hellyer Beach July 2026
Hellyer Beach adjoins pinmatik ( Rocky Cape) interesected by the Detention river. I spent 10 days engaging with the Western end rocky outcrops and sweeping beaches, trialling new ways of working with place, as well as those I have developed over the past three years with other coastal sites in lutruwita (Tasmania).
Pinhole experiments included triple pinhole cameras, and leaving these in place for a week.

Building on my relationship with the Don River, I have collected local seaweed to create a developer, and combined with salt fixatives to explore new ways of revealing the river’s knowledge and stories.
